Ms. Philomena Mozie

Obianuju Ebguniwe’s connection to the organization began through family and her commitment was cemented in 2017 when she volunteered for a food distribution event in her hometown. Witnessing firsthand the scale of need and the deep gratitude from recipients was eye-opening. From that moment, she began contributing consistently, and when the opportunity to support the organization as a finance leader arose, it felt like a natural and meaningful fit.

As Chief Financial Officer of Giving Back to Community, Obianuju brings over five years of experience in financial reporting, corporate budgeting, tax compliance, and strategic forecasting. A chartered accountant who began her career as an auditor, she developed a deep foundation in U.S. financial reporting regulations, skills that would later prove instrumental in shaping the organization’s financial strategy and impact.

Obianuju is known for her ability to pair financial acumen with a strong sense of purpose. Her passion for staying ahead of business trends and delighting customers has consistently helped uncover new paths to growth and operational efficiency. At Giving Back to Community, she has led initiatives that significantly reduced overhead costs while expanding the organization’s capacity to serve more people. Her favorite part of the work remains the human connection, like the time she helped offer a scholarship to a bright young girl who had dropped out of school due to lack of funds. Moments like that reaffirm Obianuju’s belief in stewarding both resources and people with intention and care.

Outside of work, Obianuju enjoys gardening, which reminds her that with the right care, both plants and people can thrive.
