OUR HISTORY
Giving Back to Community Corporation was founded in September 2009 by Dr. Mrs. Emilian Emeagwali, PT, MCMT. She is a native of Onitsha, Nigeria, Africa living in the United States of America. Her inspiration for starting this organization began after she visited Nigeria after many years of being away. Owing to the level of hunger and poverty she witnessed, she created a nonprofit to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions that address hunger, poverty and poor education in America and other countries. Her goal is to build a world where every child has the opportunity to live a comfortable and fulfilling life.

HOW WE DO IT
We are a nonprofit organization strategically based in Elmont, New York, with a strong need to eliminate hunger globally. We feed poor children and families, offer scholarships to poor deserving children and equip sub-standard public schools in various communities. This is how we strive to achieve our goals:
Each year, we seek funds that enable us to cater to the needs of vulnerable individuals, by soliciting funds from organizations, individuals and groups who share our vision to eliminate hunger.
Your donations make it 100% possible to donate resources and empower the vulnerable in the community. We achieve this by providing food packages, school fees, rent assistance, and much more.
We believe in engaging with the community – they are our majority stakeholders. Without their participation, we would never achieve our goals. We listen, we observe, and we ask their input to help us better serve the community as a whole.
We heavily rely on volunteers to eliminate administrative expenses so that 100% of donations go directly to those in need. This strategy works best when we partner with community leaders, chiefs, and stakeholders.
